Rules of Conduct for Vendors in BCG-sponsored space/booths/tables

(not listed in any particular order)

Please

1. Respect all present: craftspersons, attendees (especially children), hosts; guest speakers. For example, do not criticise others' beliefs and legal choices. Do not interrupt the guest speaker or otherwise behave disruptively

2. Use only the space allocated to you

3. Respect space assignment (do not share your space with your table/booth partner)

4. Do not audibly complain about the space, people, location, and so forth when the space has been given to BCG for free or at a significant discount

5. Respect BCG's mandate to support manual crafts. Posters, paintings, postcards, printed greeting cards, and other such publications are not within BCG's mandate

6. Only use BCG space for selling the goods you have made, and raising awareness of your craft(s)

7. Do not make any negative comments about another members' work -- no matter how subtle you can be -- unless that member has asked for your opinion. This does not exclude asking a question that would illicit a negative reaction in that member's potential customers

8. Do not ask another member for her/his trade secrets, esp. within the presence or hearing of a customer

Except for # 8, these rules do not apply if you are not participating as a BCG member. That is, you're at the same event BCG has rented tables for, but you're not using a BCG table/booth/space.

BCG has a zero-tolerance policy.

Questions/expressed concerns are welcome. If there's anything in the RoC that is unreasonable or offensive to you, feel free to discuss that here.
